A workplace app is the employee-facing mobile app for a workplace management platform. Rather than separate tools for desks, rooms, parking and visitors, one app carries them all, along with the surrounding admin such as leave requests and approvals.
Consolidation is the point. Employees rarely install four apps just to spend a day in the office, and adoption is what makes the resulting booking data worth reading. A workplace app tends to be judged on how few taps the common jobs take: book a desk, find a colleague on the floor plan, check in on arrival, book a room, reserve a parking bay. Anything that still needs a laptop is a gap in the workplace experience.
