What is Employee Experience (EX)?

Employee experience (EX) is the sum of every interaction an employee has with their employer, from onboarding to the tools they use daily. The workplace is a large slice of it: a day in the office that starts with no desk and a full car park is a bad experience, however good the culture deck.

Workplace teams influence EX most through friction removal. If finding a desk, a room, a parking space and a colleague each takes seconds, the office competes well with the kitchen table.
