What is Trading Floor?

A trading floor is the high-density workspace where markets businesses run sales and trading: multi-screen fixed positions, recorded lines, and regulatory requirements that tie certain activities to supervised office environments.

Trading floors are the strongest case for assigned seating in modern workplaces, which makes the surrounding contrast sharper: the same bank’s support floors can run shared desks at half the density. Managing both models in one estate, with movement between them, is a banking-specific workplace problem.
