A project manager is accountable for delivering a defined piece of work on time, on budget and to scope: planning, coordination, risk and the polite persistence that keeps everyone moving. In workplace terms, PMs run the fit-outs, office moves, consolidations and software rollouts that change how an office works.
Workplace platform deployments are classic PM territory: phased rollouts site by site, a pilot to prove the pattern, migration from the incumbent, and adoption tracked rather than assumed. The difference between a smooth rollout and a painful one is usually the plan, not the product.
