What is Office Administrator?

An office administrator handles the administrative backbone of a workplace: scheduling, records, correspondence, meeting logistics, visitor coordination and support for the teams around them. The title often overlaps with office manager; where both exist, the administrator leans executional and the manager leans operational ownership.

Modern workplace systems remove the worst of the role’s repetitive load: bookings people make themselves, visitors who pre-register, and records that update automatically. What remains is the judgement work that actually needs a person.
