What is Mailroom Management?

Mailroom management covers everything that arrives at an office: post, parcels, couriers and food deliveries. E-commerce turned this from a quiet back-office task into a front-desk workload, with personal parcels now a large share of office deliveries.

A working process has four steps: log the item on arrival, store it securely, notify the recipient automatically, and record collection. Offices without a staffed mailroom fold this into reception, which is why delivery handling now appears in front of house and visitor management workflows.
