What is IT Manager?

An IT manager keeps the organisation’s technology running for its users: devices, accounts, applications, access and support. Workplace systems sit on the IT manager’s patch the moment they involve logins, integrations or a kiosk that stops working at 8:55 on a Monday.

What IT managers want from workplace software is absence of drama: SSO so there is no separate password estate, SCIM so joiners and leavers handle themselves, sensible admin roles, and a vendor whose support answers. The tools they praise are the ones nobody has to think about.
