What is Front of House?

Front of house is reception and everything a visitor or employee experiences on arrival: greeting, sign-in, security, waiting areas and wayfinding. It borrows its name and standards from hospitality, and in corporate buildings it doubles as the first line of security.

Digital sign-in changed the role rather than removing it. With visitor management handling registration, badging and host alerts, front-of-house teams spend their time on the human part: welcome, exceptions and keeping the arrival experience calm.
