A deal room is a secured meeting room dedicated to a confidential transaction: M&A, fundraising, restructuring or litigation. Physical deal rooms hold the working sessions; their virtual cousins hold the documents.
Deal rooms combine three workplace controls at once: restricted booking (only the deal team), information barriers from conflicted colleagues, and tight visitor handling for counterparties and advisers, including NDAs at sign-in. When the deal closes, the room returns to the pool.
