What is Delegate Access?

Delegate access is the permission that lets an assistant manage another person’s calendar or mailbox: seeing entries, accepting invitations and sending on their behalf.

It is set in the calendar or mail platform rather than in workplace software, but it determines what an assistant can actually do. Booking a desk or room for someone else needs the equivalent permission in the booking system, which is usually called booking on behalf of.

Set it up once, properly, rather than working around it. Assistants who lack delegate access end up sending requests to the executive to action, which is the exact work the arrangement was meant to remove.
