What is WFH (Working From Home)?

WFH, working from home, graduated from email abbreviation to standard vocabulary: “I’m WFH Thursday” is a complete sentence in most offices. In hybrid organisations WFH days are the remote half of the pattern, balanced against office days set by policy, anchor days or personal choice.

Operationally, WFH signals matter as much as office bookings: knowing who is remote is how teams plan collaboration days and how workplaces forecast demand. The mature setup treats “home” as a bookable working location like any desk, so the Thursday picture is complete rather than implied.
