What is Machine Learning?

Machine learning is the branch of AI where software learns patterns from data rather than following rules a programmer wrote by hand. Show a model enough examples of how a building is used and it can spot patterns no one coded: which days fill up, which rooms are ghost-booked, which teams cluster where.

Workplace platforms use machine learning quietly: forecasting attendance, flagging anomalies in utilisation, and improving suggestions over time. The prerequisite is honest data at volume, which is why booking and check-in records, collected as a by-product of daily use, are the fuel for every workplace AI feature worth having.
