What is Pilot Programme?

A pilot programme is a limited live deployment, one floor, site or department, used to prove workplace software in real conditions before committing the whole estate. Good pilots have defined success measures agreed in advance: adoption rate, check-in rate, support tickets, user feedback.

The classic pilot mistake is choosing the friendliest possible site and declaring victory. Pick a site with normal levels of scepticism and complexity; if the tool wins there, the rollout case makes itself.
