LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the US-born green building certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, rating buildings from Certified through Silver and Gold to Platinum. It is the most recognised scheme globally.
Occupiers meet LEED twice: choosing certified buildings to satisfy ESG commitments, and pursuing LEED for interiors on their own fit-outs. Operating credits reward running the building on real demand, which is where occupancy-led scheduling of HVAC and services earns points.
