What is Workplace Accessibility?

Workplace accessibility is designing the office and its systems so disabled employees and visitors can use them fully: step-free routes, accessible desks and rooms, hearing loops, clear signage and digital tools that work with assistive technology.

Booking systems carry real accessibility weight. Reserving a specific accessible desk, an adjustable workstation or a parking bay near the entrance turns accessibility from a request into a default. In the UK, the Equality Act 2010 makes reasonable adjustments a legal duty, not a courtesy.
