What is Service Level Agreement (SLA)?

A service level agreement (SLA) is the contracted standard a service must meet: response times for maintenance tickets, cleaning frequencies, help desk answer times or software uptime, plus the remedies when the standard is missed.

SLAs appear twice in workplace management: in FM contracts with service providers, and in the software contracts behind your workplace tools, where uptime and support response are the numbers to read before signing.
