What is Coworking?

Coworking is shared workspace used by multiple companies and individuals on a membership or pay-as-you-go basis. It grew up serving freelancers and startups, but enterprises now use coworking to give distributed staff a professional base without signing a lease.

Inside larger companies the same idea appears as internal hot desking across sites: any employee can book a desk at any office. The mechanics are identical, which is why one booking platform can serve both.
