What is Access Control?

Access control is the set of systems that decide who can enter a building, floor or room, and when. It ranges from swipe cards and PIN pads to mobile credentials and biometric readers, all backed by a policy that maps people to the spaces they are allowed to use.

In a hybrid office, access control data doubles as attendance data. Linking it to your visitor management and desk booking systems gives you one accurate picture of who is actually on site.
